PLEASE HELP: HB156 Mandates Vaccines for Infants and Preschoolers, including Shots Not Recommended by the Federal CDC
In the October 2025 Special Session, the NM Legislature passed new vaccine law SB3. That new law was scheduled to expire in July 2026. Now, state lawmakers are aiming to make the new vaccine law permanent with bill HB156 . If passed, HB156 would make these changes permanent in state law: Adds the requirement for mandatory vaccination of infants and young children in daycare centers (but exemptions are still allowed per state statute) Removes the Federal CDC's Advisory
