Dear New Mexicans,
You have probably seen that the media is whipping up a frenzy of fear about the Hanta Virus.Â
Â
Today, the New Mexico Freedoms Alliance (representing over 3,000 people statewide) joined together with Awake Illinois, Military Families in Support of Parental Rights, Colorado Parent Advocacy Network, and other organizations representing over 100,000 people nationwide to deliver a formal letter to U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.Â
Â
The letter delivers a clear message that we will not return to fear-driven health policies like those of 2020, which undermined bodily autonomy, parental rights, and medical freedom.Â
Â
The coalition letter specifically requests that Secretary Kennedy:
Publicly oppose fear-based overreach, quarantine measures, and unverified emergency declarations.
Require full transparency and independent verification of any public health claims, moving beyond scripted CDC narratives.
Protect parental rights and bodily autonomy as non-negotiable — especially for students in PreK-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
Continue exposing the true drivers of America’s chronic disease epidemic: environmental toxins, ultra-processed foods, and pharmaceutical over-reliance.

NMFA is proud to be part of this large nationwide grassroots movement to urge HHS Secretary Kennedy to stand up for medical freedom and parental rights. NMFA extends special thanks to Shannon Adcock and Awake Illinois for excellent nationwide leadership on this letter.
Standing with you for medical freedom and parental rights in New Mexico,
Sarah, Karen, and Melanie
