Dear New Mexicans,
Many families rely on school-based health centers (SBHCs) for their children's healthcare, but they may not realize that:
SBHCs give children access to abortion and transgender care without parental consent or notification
When children go to the SBHC, they are given surveys with invasive questions about sex, transgenderism, firearms, and more.
With over 80+ school-based health centers across New Mexico, these widespread problems are being funded by your taxpayer dollars via the NM Dept of Health.

Public Records Evidence About SBHC Surveys
We recently acquired public records from Governor Michele Lujan Grisham's Dept of Health about the surveys being given to NM children at school-based health centers.

Invasive Questions Being Asked of NM Children
There are two versions of the survey: one for children and another for adolescents (~ages 11-years-old and up).
The survey for children (up to age ~11-years-old) includes asking:
whether the child is male, female, or transgender
whether the child is straight, gay/lesbian, or bisexual
whether there is a firearm in the child's home
The survey for adolescent children (ages ~11-years-old and up) includes additional questions such as:
what pronouns the child uses, such as He/Him/His, They/Them/Their, Ze/Hir/Hirs
whether the child has thoughts "that you would be better off dead"
whether the child is in an "open relationship"
whether the child has had sex, including "oral, anal and vaginal sex"
Depending on the child's answer to these questions, additional questions which the child may be asked include:
whether the child has ever sexted
whether the child has had sex with transgender men or transgender women
whether the child has had vaginal, oral, or anal sex [with definitions of what these terms mean]
whether the child's sex partner has "sex with both men and women"
whether the child has prepared for suicide in ways such as "Collected pills, obtained a gun, gave away valuables, wrote a will or suicide note, held a gun but changed your mind, cut yourself, tried to hang yourself, etc.)"

NOTE: Due to these and other issues, many parents are choosing to remove their kids from public school and instead homeschool (or send their kids to private school). Our Guide to Homeschooling in NM is on our website here:
