Dear New Mexicans,

We've been ringing the alarm bell since 2023 about NM's HB7 "Reproductive and Gender-Affirming Healthcare Act" that requires school teachers and nurses to facilitate access to transgender and abortion care with NO parental consent or age restrictions. These treatments harm children's development and impose irreversible damage.

How NM is Circumventing Federal Prohibitions on Gender-Affirming Care for Children

The Federal government has taken action to protect children from the harms of gender transition by no longer paying for these treatments.

Nonetheless, your tax dollars are still being used to pay for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for NM children aged 12-17 years old.

The most up-to-date science is clear that gender transition harms children. 

Four out of five (80%) of kids GROW OUT of their gender confusion. Transgender affirmation does NOT reduce the risk of suicide.
