Dear New Mexicans,

Welcome to our newsletter, created in an effort to help keep New Mexicans informed of freedom efforts around the state.As we all work together towards creating positive change in New Mexico, community involvement is very important. 

​Here is a summary of upcoming, local advocacy and activism efforts across New Mexico for September. This month's email includes announcements for both statewide and individual community-focused activities, including events in these locations:

Save Our Children Event

 

Saturday Sept 7, 7am-1pm, Legacy Church, 7201 Central Avenue NW, ABQ, 87121

 

Featuring national speakers such James Lindsay and Alvin Lui alongside New Mexico leaders such as Sarah Smith, Ramona Goolsby, and Casey and Myke Petersen.

ABQ unMasked - NE Albuquerque

Meets monthly to foster community, share information and upliftment. Contact Karen to receive meeting invites.

 

The Library Club - Albuquerque


Meets Wednesdays 12:30, (location changes weekly; please call or email). Are you interested in actively working on issues important to New Mexico? If you are up for committing to a little hard work and time assisting in research and projects, we would love to have you!

Every Wednesday, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning (until early voting starts for the Nov. 5 election), there will be a voter registration and election education at Calvary Church Osuna.

  • Get involved in registering voters at gun shops and other churches in Albuquerque. Lisa Chapman coordinating: 505-803-2072 (text preferred).

 

  • Sept. 5th - 15th New Mexico State Fair: Voter Registration and Education for both RPNM & RPBC. Want to volunteer? Please contact the state or county GOP offices. 

 

  • September 17, 6:00-7:00pm AMAC virtual congressional "Meet & Greet": Ramona Goolsby hosts. Register at rsvp@amacaction.org. You do not have to be an AMAC member to attend this online event.

 

  • September 22, 4-7pm Fall Harvest Dance & Fundraiser. 4915 Hawkins St. NE, ABQ, Albuquerque Square Dance Center. To benefit Sandoval Co. Rep. Commissioner candidates. Contact Beth Dowling at bethdowling616@gmail.com

 

  • September 24th "Certification and Sealing" of election machines starts in Sandoval. Members of the community are encouraged to attend. 


NMET Network wants to encourage anyone interested in supporting our election process to sign up with your County Clerk to work the elections. The number for the Bernalillo Co. Election Bureau is 505-243-8683 email: clerk@bernco.gov.

Detransitioner Panel Discussion Thursday, September 12, 5:30-8pm, La Fonda on the Plaza, Santa Fe


NMFA is co-sponsoring this discussion through Partners for Ethical Care.  The event is now open for ticket sales!

The event will include a screening of a movie about harms of "gender-affirming care" followed by a panel discussion featuring de-transitioners including Chloe Cole, Laura Becker, Soren Aldaco, Kevin Jones, Airiel Salvatore, and Nicolas Blooms.

Las Cruces

Coalition of Conservatives in Action (CCIA)

CCIA advocates for positive change in Las Cruces in the areas of crime, homelessness, public policy, education, and other key issues affecting the local community. Advocacy at City Council, School Board, and County Commission are an important part of this mission along with educating our community in areas of importance.

CCIA hosts public meetings every Thursday at 6pm. 

Events and guest speakers for the month of September include:

Spots Still Open! New Mexico Kids 8-17 join us to show off their skills and creativity this fall with their own vendor tables at the Fall Freedom Festival in Edgewood New Mexico September 22nd. Prizes will be given to the best business in 3 age categories. The future is our kids: build their entrepreneurial spirit & give them the opportunity to learn how to run a small business!

Event Details, East Mountain Freedom Festival: Sunday, 9/22/24

Join us for our "Freedom Festival" A large focus of this event is getting out the vote to appoint freedom-oriented elected officials during November voting this year. 

Speakers, vendors, a children's business fair and food. Volunteers are still needed to help with logistics, supplies, and setup. No time contribution is too small!
