Dear New Mexicans,
There is only one week left in this year's legislative session. Your efforts ARE making a difference and we are glad to share some wins with you now!
This post only has ONE quick-and-easy call to action on the unconstitutional gun ban bill. That will only take a minute to complete.
Please scroll below for info about:
URGENT: Update on unconstitutional gun ban bill SB17
GOOD News on vaccine bill HB156
Two more pieces of good news about some recent wins in the legislature

URGENT UPDATE: SB17 Outlaws Sale of Semi-Automatic Weapons and Guns with >10 Rounds
SB 17 will outlaw the sale of any semi-automatic weapon that has a detachable magazine and any weapon with a fixed magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds. It also places undue burdens on gun stores.
Legislators know this is unconstitutional, but it is being politicized and fast-tracked anyway.
This Bill has been passed by the full Senate and is now being fast-tracked through committees in the House of Representatives. Next stop is the House Judiciary committee.
Will you PLEASE send a quick-and-easy email to urge the committee to Vote NO on SB17? SEND EMAIL HERE: https://app.oneclickpolitics.com/campaign-page?cid=HeY1eOR3jf15nr1OjAnYT
Your email will be most effective if you customize the subject line. That will make your email stand out in the legislator inboxes!

GOOD NEWS on HB156 Vaccine Bill

HOORAY 😍: We had a win on the HB156 vaccine bill!
HUGE THANKS to Representative John Block for proposing the successful amendment to remove the woke American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) as an organization that the Dept of Health (DOH) would refer to for guidance.
This was a big step in the right direction, given that the Federal CDC has recently reduced the number of recommended vaccinations for all children from 18 to 11, yet the AAP has refused to make any changes to their list of recommended vaccinations.
Based on AAP recommendations, the NM Dept of Health is currently mandating 3 childhood vaccinations that the Federal CDC no longer recommends (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Meningococcal). All three of these vaccines contain aluminum, which is a potent neurotoxin.
Because of Representative Block's new amendment to the Bill, we will now be able to push for much-needed changes to this with the NM Dept of Health.
Representative Luis Terrazas proposed a separate amendment to ensure that parents 👩🦰🧔♂️would be informed that there are vaccine exemption options for children.
Sadly, that amendment was killed by the Progressives, who don't want parents to be informed about their vaccine exemption options.
Nonetheless, huge thanks to Reps Luis Terrazas, Rebecca Dow, Jenifer Jones, Stefani Lord, and Mark Duncan for pushing for parental notification about vaccine exemption options. Your efforts are much appreciated.
As it stands now, vaccine Bill HB156 will be a big improvement over what was originally proposed, thanks to YOUR efforts and the state representatives who are standing up for children's health in NM!

MORE GOOD NEWS From the Legislature
Your efforts ARE making a difference! Here are two more bits of good news from the legislature.
SB 18 Clear Horizons and Emissions Codification would have: 1) Increased utility prices; 2) Harmed current businesses; 3) Slowed investment and reduced New Mexico's competitiveness; 4) Devastated the oil and gas industry, which provides 40% of the state budget. THIS BILL FAILED TO PASS IN THE SENATE AND IS NOW DEAD!
SAVE New Mexico's Healthcare System: Doctors are leaving. Patients are waiting. Care is disappearing. HB 99 – Medical Malpractice Reform bill has been amended and is now a solid bill to help fix NM's healthcare crisis! This Bill passed on a 10-0 vote in the House Judiciary Committee and we are hopeful that it will have smooth sailing to pass now!
