PLEASE HELP AGAIN: WHO PANDEMIC TREATY

There is continued concern about the World Health Organization's (WHO) upcoming meeting where countries will be signing the pandemic treaty. This treaty will give the WHO health policy power over national-level governments – and override national sovereignty. Biden is planning to sign the treaty and this is a huge problem!

Do we want some international body deciding what happens in the U.S.? This could include telling you what vaccinations you need to get, whether you can leave your house or not, and under what circumstances.

The vote on the two treaties is scheduled for the May 27 to June 2 meeting.  Some countries such as the United Kingdom have already pulled out and will NOT sign the treaty.  We need to push for the same here.

Thanks to those who have already taken action, and we would appreciate it if you would take action once again.

SAY SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING

When citizens observe misconduct, inefficiencies, or corruption, it is their civic duty to report these issues. Doing so not only helps prevent the erosion of trust in public institutions but also reinforces the integrity of our democratic systems.

Ramona Goolsby, from the Library Guild, has put together a comprehensive list of New Mexico agencies where citizens can file complaints or seek assistance, along with a brief description of their jurisdictions.

This is a valuable resource for being able to hold our government accountable. The list covers a wide array of jurisdictions, offering numerous avenues for ensuring government accountability in New Mexico.
